“Embracing the Chaos: The Beauty of Imperfect Motherhood” – My Why.

Welcome, welcome, welcome, to Living Life Gingerly. A motherhood blog (and soon to be podcast) from a full nest. Here you will find of heartfelt stories, questions, and conversations about raising little ones and ourselves. From my perspective. A mother of three, an Early Childhood Educator with a passion for children and always learning more.

Living Life Gingerly first started as ‘Entirely Taylor’ a lifestyle blog before having children was even a thought. It was a way to get out of my comfort zone. A way to have fun creating in the digital world and to connect to like minded people.

Since then it has Change to Living Life Gingerly. A motherhood and lifestyle blog where I shared snippets about our life and raising little ones. Then after 2 back to back kids, schooling to become an ECE, and navigating the ups and downs of our deeply feeling child. Life got busy. Then we decided to have one more bundle of joy, baby #3. Life got even busier. And in the process I pulled back from writing, blogging, things that i enjoyed. I poured all my time into mothering and my career, that I put my own hobbies (like blogging) on pause. If it wasn’t something I could do with the kids then it was on the back burner.

This has lead to me feeling guilty and full imposter syndrome. Couple that with the changes Social media makes so quickly that even now I am feeling like. Woaaah! How do I even start again? Even now while writing this perfectionism kicks in. ‘This post isn’t quite good enough. Don’t kid yourself who is really going to read it, anyways. There are Way WAY bigger bloggers out there people will listen to more anyways it’s not worth the effort.’

Now flash forward to July 2025 I had to ask myself. Do I pay for 1 more year and put in the effort. Is there a way I can make time? Is blogging even something people read anymore or are people just out for that quick fix. That 7 second video that makes them smile. Am I wasting my time? How do I make it all worth while and what is my why?

Why am I putting myself out there? Why should you be reading this? Why do you want to read this blog?

For me the why was simple. Its the same as in the beginning. As a space to get out of my comfort zone and show life just as it is. “I started this blog to share the real, raw, and beautiful journey of motherhood — not the filtered version, but the one filled with growth, chaos, love, and learning. If it helps even one mom feel less alone, it’s worth it.” Because real life experiences are just as important as the leaders in “motherhood help and child development”.

If you made it this far. THANK YOU. Thank you for the support, the courage to try again and for being here. Stay tuned from some great motherhood content coming every Tuesday. A podcast version starting in September. And enjoy the beautiful chaos of motherhood with me.
